Hello! I'm Sarah, a Certified Health and Wellness Coach with a focus on Somatic Trauma Therapy and a background in breast cancer rehabilitation. As a survivor myself, I understand the challenges intimately. .
Waking with the sun, morning snuggles with my dog Finn, journaling, long walks, lighting a candle, tea, reading before bedtime
Researching, writing, having quiet moments in nature, following my curiosity, practicing somatic techniques
Being judgemental, dismissing emotions and lived experiences, valuing things over people, being unkind, late nights
Self-compassion, inclusivity, trauma-informed care, aspiring to live creatively, finding beauty in everyday things
Sarah James is an expert in breast cancer recovery, a Certified Health and Wellness Coach specializing in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy, and a two-time cancer survivor. Before her shift to coaching, she was a physical therapy professional focusing on breast cancer rehabilitation and a Certified Lymphedema Therapist with LANA certification from the Lymphology Association of North America. Sarah is accredited as a Health and Wellness Coach through Wellcoaches and holds a Certificate in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy from The Embody Lab.
My guiding principle has always been to help others feel heard, seen, valued, and supported.
My story began in December of 2012 as a single mom with young kids, when I was diagnosed with node-positive breast cancer. Fast forward to a few years back, and you'd find me treating breast cancer patients in the outpatient physical therapy clinic of a leading hospital.
For over a decade, I've dedicated myself to personal healing, professional training, education, and hands-on work. This path has led me to a profound understanding of the deep imprints a breast cancer diagnosis can leave on our physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
Now, I'm grateful to share this knowledge, honoring the unique experience and needs of each person I work with.
